The Challenge

Petrochemical construction requires extreme precision in welding, pressure testing, and safety systems. The site is in the Niger Delta with challenging logistics and security considerations. 28 pressurised tanks, each holding 5,000 metric tonnes, required specialised foundation design and seismic bracing.

The Solution

NOTGATE partnered with a German tank manufacturer for the pressurised vessels and trained 60 local welders to ASME certification standards. A dedicated security perimeter with 24/7 monitoring was established before construction began. Foundation piles were driven to 35 metres to reach stable bedrock below the delta alluvium.
