Government
Abuja Federal Secretariat Annex

Overview
The Federal Government required a modern, secure annex to decongest the existing secretariat complex. The building needed to house six ministries with independent access control, blast-resistant design, and 50-year structural lifespan specifications.

The Challenge
Government procurement timelines are notoriously complex. NOTGATE had to navigate 14 approval stages across 6 agencies while maintaining construction momentum. Security clearances for all 340 workers, blast-resistant glazing, and a SCIF-level data centre added layers of technical complexity.
The Solution
NOTGATE assigned a dedicated government liaison team to pre-emptively manage approvals. The structure was designed with progressive collapse resistance per GSA standards. A modular construction approach allowed interior fit-out to begin while exterior works continued, compressing the programme by 3 months.
